MUSCULOSKELETEAL PAIN SERVICES

Because muscle and joint systems work together, tension or dysfunction in one area can contribute to pain elsewhere. That’s why we also treat whole-body musculoskeletal conditions, including back, shoulder, and extremity pain. By addressing both localized and widespread pain patterns, we help restore balance, improve movement, and support long-term relief—not just in the face and jaw, but throughout the body.

Whole body conditions we treat include...

Back pain
Neck pain
Rotator cuff injuries
Frozen shoulder
Hip flexor issues
Hip bursitis
Knee pain
Foot/ankle pain
Plantar fasciitis
Achilles tendinopathy
Elbow pain
Wrist/hand pain
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Sciatica
Sports injuries
Pregnancy/Post-partum musculoskeletal pain

MULTIFACTORIAL HEADACHES

Vascular headaches, including migraines, result from changes in blood flow and inflammation. Our care improves muscle balance and posture to support healthy drainage of blood and fluid from the head and neck. This helps reduce congestion around the brain’s venous system — a common factor in chronic headaches and migraines — while also addressing airway and sleep issues that contribute to blood flow and cerebrospinal fluid changes within the skull.

Tension-type headaches are common and often result from tightness in the head, neck, and shoulders, typically triggered by stress or poor posture.

Cervicogenic headaches arise from the neck, causing pain that radiates to the head and worsens with movement or prolonged sitting.

If you've been struggling with headaches without success from traditional medications, we encourage you to explore alternative treatment options.

Posture Focused Care

Poor posture, such as leaning your head forward or slumping your shoulders, can place additional strain on the muscles in your neck and jaw. This heightened tension may cause the jaw joints to be strained, resulting in jaw pain and frequent headaches. Many individuals are unaware that something as straightforward as posture significantly affects their head and jaw. By enhancing posture and maintaining muscle balance, it is often possible to alleviate jaw discomfort, minimize headaches and even help sleep and breathing.

Exercise Rehabilitation

Gentle exercise rehabilitation and myofunctional therapy can play a powerful role in reducing pain in the head, face, and neck. These therapies work by retraining the muscles, including the tongue, to function in a healthier, more balanced way—improving posture, breathing, and jaw movement. Strengthening weak muscles and releasing overactive ones can ease tension, restore proper alignment, and take pressure off the jaw joints and surrounding tissues. Over time, this not only relieves pain but also helps prevent problems from coming back, giving patients long-term comfort and better overall function.

Myofascial Release Therapy

Our musculoskeletal specialist uses gentle, targeted techniques to relieve muscle tension, improve mobility, and support overall function—without high-velocity neck or TMJ adjustments.

Myofascial release can help with a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Neck, shoulder, back, and hip pain

  • Jaw and facial tension

  • Headaches and postural strain

  • Limited range of motion

  • Muscle tightness from injury, surgery, or stress

  • Breathing issues due to chest or postural restriction

Our approach is safe, evidence-based, and coordinated with your medical team to support lasting relief and centralized movement.

Trigger Point Injections of the Head, Face & Neck

Trigger point injections are a highly effective treatment for head, neck, and facial pain because they directly target the source of muscle tension rather than masking it. By delivering a small amount of anesthetic or anti-inflammatory medication into irritated muscle knots, these injections release tight fibers, improve blood flow, and restore normal muscle function. This often provides fast relief from headaches, jaw pain, and neck stiffness while also improving mobility. Trigger point injections support natural healing, preserve healthy muscle function, and are a safe and targeted approach for long-term relief when combined with our other treatment protocols.

Comprehensive Full-Body Pain Care

In addition to focused craniofacial and headache treatments, we also address a wide range of full-body musculoskeletal pain conditions. Our musculoskeletal doctor specializes in diagnosing and treating issues affecting the back, neck, shoulders, hips, knees, and other joints and muscles.

Using an integrated approach, he helps patients restore mobility, build stability, and achieve long-term relief through personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
